The first team regular, an accomplished spinner, batsman and former first team captain has wasted no time helping bring in top notch recruits for the 2025 season.
Livewire Nathan is highly delighted to announce new boys Aussie 24 year old batsman Tim Reynolds of New South Wales first grade fame, Joe Ashmore who he describes as a match winning all rounder from Grappenhall and teenage fast bowler Zach Thomson from derby rivals Bowdon.
Nathan has vowed to make the team captains work closer together to ensure a streamlined approach to make sure all involved in performance delivery are aligned to the goals of the section.
Regarding training, Nathan said he will be establishing and monitoring a training programme for both junior and senior cricket, ensuring delivery is to the highest standard through increasing the coaching pool whilst up-skilling current coaches and captains to provide more thorough training sessions.
Of his the new role, Nathan said: "After taking a year out of being involved in an official capacity in organisation at the club, I'm really looking forward to getting back into the heart of what motivates me, to make Timperley CC prosper. I've done every role possible in the section so felt natural to put my hand up to lead on this new, exciting role."
"We have already started our work straightaway behind the scenes and I've met with senior team captains and together we've finished off our 1st team recruitment, New signings include Tim from Down Under who has a huge weight of runs behind him at NSW 1st Grade level, the gold standard of amateur competitions. Tim comes in to add real strength to bat at three which we identified as a problem area last year. Joe is a supremely talented all rounder previously at Grappenhall."
"He's a potential match winner as a stylish batter and as a left arm spinner, we were very keen to get him in to have more spin options for the side and to strengthen the top order batting."
"Finally Zach comes to us from Bowdon, I've seen first hand what Zach can do. He bowls extremely quickly for someone of such a young age. He will be a real handful next year and also has the potential to score plenty of runs whilst being something of a jet in the field. We are delighted with our new signings and hope to kick on further up this tough and extremely demanding league of which we are proud to be a part."
